Video Editors are one of the most important aspects of a video’s creation. In this role, you’ll be using the power of video editing to transform a recording into a massively entertaining piece of content that captivates audiences, maintains viewer retention, and remains creative and high quality.
Ideally, we want people who go above and beyond. We’re looking for a candidate to be responsible, manage their time, be in frequent communication, learn and grow over time, and most importantly — enjoy the role of video editing. You would be taking 30-minute to 1-hour recordings and chopping them down, implementing audio adjustments, executing full edits, and optimizing the video throughout every phase.
To exceed our expectations, a candidate must be highly accountable and submit drafts well before the deadline. They must also take feedback constructively and use it as motivation to improve both the quality and consistency of their editing.
This position is fully remote and requires you to be 18+.
- Utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other editing tools to build strong final cuts
- Editing for retention using feedback from a retention specialist
- Collaborating with fellow editors to grow, improve, and share techniques
- Making creative editing decisions — from structuring animations to music selection and visual/audio enhancement
- Proficiency in Adobe products, especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- A constant drive to improve your craft and evolve your standards for a “perfect” video
- Strong accountability and the ability to submit edits well before deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Fast learning ability in adapting to new editing strategies and minimizing revision cycles
- A passion for video editing and a solid portfolio of past work — while experience isn't everything, it helps us understand your skill level
